Hi everyone, I plan to install solar system too. My house is single phase, average bill around RM500/month. Been reading this thread and would like to know main advantages of three phase over single phase inverter.

Is it worth upgrading to three phase for long run or just stick with single phase.

Appreciate it guys for sharing. Many thanks 🙏

Unless you intend to add more aircons, 5kWac is sufficient, since just need to lower your tnb bill so that you won't kena the 8%.

Thanks bro 👌

Better for you to list out the no of panels/inverter model & nett price so forummers can advised based on that.

Ok I’ll ask for detailed quotations 👌

I finally agreed with a quotation by Mr Ihsan from Pathgreen. He’ll proceed with NEM application from SEDA. How long usually it’ll take?

actually kind waste to use Trina Bifacial N-type as 1 side is totally will not get any power.

Would put aluminium foil under the panels will yield some extra? brows.gif

if u able to climb up to keep add it ? hahaha

Hehehe unlikely I’ll do it. But there was a study about this, however the addition of aluminium foil will only increase 1% of solar energy, not worth it

12 panels 7.32 kW system by PG installed last Monday. Now wait for TNB to change meter.

They tried running the system for 24-hr, and I realised the old meter ran in reverse 😅.

Just wonder how long will it take TNB to change the meter

My solar system by PG was installed last Monday, and TNB changed the NEM meter this morning. The solar system has been turn on. I guess one week is not too bad, right? smile.gif

I see, thanks. Mine was installed last Tuesday, still waiting for TNB.

Not sure if this might help. I did go ro nearest TNB, just ask around the time expectation I should wait for the NEM meter. Probably my enquiry triggered the NEM meter team 😁

My solar has been ON for two days. Rated 7.26, so far got 34 kWh perday? The weather not fully sunny, mixed with cloudiness. Acceptable readings? Tq

Very good already, myself rated 9.28 would be happy if I get 40 kWh per day. Only achieved that 6 days since beginning of this month

Thanks for the feedback. It’s been mainly sunny today, solar recording quite impressive 40.84 kWh. I’m anticipating much lower readings during raining seasons next few months here in the east coast.

My first bill since solar installation. Anyway it’s only 2’weeks bill. However I expect November-January bills will be much higher as the raining season already here.
