26 august - 3 phase installation complete (TNB part took a long time)

27 august - Accepted Alpha Solar quotation and proposal, RM25k for 10.2kWp

30 August - paid deposit 5% - RM1250 to Alpha Solar

11 September - on this date only AS uploaded all documents to SEDA. Really took their own sweet time

18 October - SEDA finally approved, call them so many times then only approve

21 October - NEM Certificate Issued

11 November - Paid the 2nd part of the payment needed, RM 11250 to get date for installation.

Btw my roof is almost flat and maybe just 2° angle at max, not sure how its going to effect solar production. Luckily no trees high enough nor any tall buildings nearby

Panel - ASTRONERGY AS635Wp

Inverters - SAJ M2-2.2K-S4

Why not make it half yearly instead of all this quarterly extension

Given longer period to ponder, people tend to procrastinate until closing date.

No sure why option 2 is there. Usually common practice will not have an inverter larger than panel. Probably there have too many units of it.
If it is for me, I will just choose the cheapest which is option 1. Cause no matter what brand of inverter, the warranty is the same, the efficiency is also about the same. so the cheapest will allow the fastest ROI.
*
May be option1 panels r cheaper brand, would that make it less efficient?

actually depends on you lor... say in future you buy ev or add sauna and jacuzzi or retire and whole day aircon... then option 2 very easy to add a few more panels to expand... otherwise no point...

who are the vendors?
*
If single phase can still add panels? Or need to spend to convert to 3phase?

In this particular case, it makes sense to go for the higher kwp because the extra 2.2 kwp is just RM3k. I would say the quote for the 5kwp system is on the high side at 4k per kwp hence the longer roi.
*
I was quoted rm16k for 4.92kwp n 22k for 7.38kwp, a diff of 6k.

BTW ,your average tnb bill how much?

Btw 270 to 330.

For a solar panel system costing 30k.

Which cc is good for earning cashback/points even after converting txn TO Installment for 60mth? CC must not have annual fee otherwise need to ask for fee waiver yearly.

KUALA LUMPUR (March 28): The government has released the guidelines for its latest solar programme, which allows energy companies to lease rooftop space from homeowners to install solar panels and sell the generated electricity to customers through third-party access to the distribution network.

According to the guidelines for the Community Renewable Energy Aggregation Mechanism (CREAM), this mechanism allows energy companies to source electricity from rooftop panels and sell it to both commercial and domestic consumers within a 5km radius.

Essentially, the CREAM programme is similar to the Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme (CRESS).

I think solaris will be extended cos govt want to encourage green energy to promote Data Center industry.
Now that the world is decoupling, do u think there will more supply than demand thus cheaper solar panels in MY?

NEM Rakyat SOLAR 3.0
NET is Nett like net weight meaning 100% discount like Shopee voucher limited capped at your Solar Panel system size kWp DC and kW AC inverter size
This is depends on
A.Rooftop size
B.Single phase 3 wire 1 Fuse max 11 ~ 12 panels depends on watts 5xx ~ 6xx
3 phase 5 wire 3 Fuse max 27~ 28 panels is the same as above
1 to 1 ratio is hard to understand
1.Daytime sunny day allowed to self consumption SELCO
Solar energy directly go to electricity appliances without TNB = not buying electric from TNB less dependent on grid lower the load = save money also avoiding ICPT 1501 kWh = RM150.10
2. If there are holidays no one at home 90% ++ go to TNB grid and nighttime not buying from TNB so the rollover mechanism will be carried forward to next month within the same year every year cut-off day is the same which is 31 December similar to annual leave. 12 months starting count from January
3. If someone at home the longer hours daytime usage percentages of kWh is higher saving but must control usage within the Solar kWp system size, if over also need to buy from TNB
4. If possible avoid using high power devices during nighttime eg EV charging, laundry dryer l, ironing etc because Solar only offset the electric kWh change not the tax KWTBB ICPT ST
*
For point 4, if daytime power usage is low cos nobody at home, only nighttime everyone come back from work n power usage is high with EV charging, aircon etc. Then not worth using Solar?

Many data centres r coming n they need lots of renewable energy n rooftop solar is the most viable n readily available. TNB can help to rechannel this solar to DC without incurring much capital cost like expanding power generation. A win-win-win situation. Hope the rebate n NEM would continue.

in reality when solar panel go into grid, no people can different the current is from solar or other power generation.

when we send solar power to TNB, TMB will record it as green energy,

when they sell energy to commercial, they can sell higher price from the recorded green energy from us.

something like green energy certificate.

so company don't generate any green energy, but buying green energy certificate to proof they using green energy.
*
That is what I read too recently. On top of that TNB doesn't need to spend on energy generation to profit from this.
