i think can opt to ATAP for NEM after 10 years period if ATAP is still available

Yes, that might be the idea especially for NEM 1.0, NEM 2.0 users. It gives a sort of direction and roadmap of what to do with out solar panels (besides direct usage using daytime) after NEM ended. That is if the govt does not stop ATAP when our NEM ended. Very hard to say with the current TnB and Govt.

.
Under NEM3.0, a 7kW roof solar panel system produces about 800kWh of electricity per month = saves about RM400 in monthly TNB bill for a home that runs 3 aircons nightly and/or charges an EV car overnight weekly, ie 800kWh X RM0.50.

Under the coming ATAP1.0 (from 1 Dec 2025), a similar home as above will save only about RM168 in monthly TNB bill, ie 800kWh X RM0.21.
....... ROI  from paying for a 7kW solar system = about RM20k, will be about 10 years, ie  RM20,000/RM168 X 12 = 9.9 years = not quite worth it.

Correct.?

The only thing worth about installing solar under ATAP is if you use a lot on daytime. Whatever you used directly from solar does not go to TNB thus will not be in their calculation especially for taxes. Overtime that will save a lot in such cases.

Really? That's good to hear.
Has anyone here got their solar through verdant? What are your thoughts of them?

I think he is in the upper limit of generation. His area must have excellent exposure to sunlight WITH excellent panel placement AND direction, etc.
Mine 10.6Kwh with limit roof space.

They calculate RM600 to 700. I think I got average 1200kwh per month.
Based on real life usage. It generate about RM500++ each month on average. My 1 panel got shadow and most of panels are facing west. Few facing south and 1 set facing north.
So really not optimum placement.

So unless you have excellent solar panel placement and exposure, on average you better calculate as anywhere between RM500 to 600++. Don't over expect it unless the installer say your roof placement for all your panels are in EXCELLENT position to maximized generation.

Micro inverter?

Yes. No other option coz the panels are spread out wide even using the lower car porch to achieve higher capacity. Roof styling and angle really not solar panels friendly.
