Hi,

Is it still necessary to book hotel in advance before going to Taiwan? Will Immigration demand any hotel booking receipt to know the purpose of our travel?

Aside from that, is there anything else we need to prepare aside from flight ticket and passport?

I'm planning to stay at Taiwan for about 7 to 8 days.

Minimum also 1 - 2 nites advance. Then cont your search when you are there.

You will have to pay rack rate for last minute booking.

You need to fill in a local hotel/residence address in the arrival card.

Went to TW 4 weeks ago. Fill up immigration form of hotel address. The immigration officer are friendly to me. I flew from SIN-TPE.

Prepare your doc at immigration counter. Flight ticket. Hotel. Enough cash etc.

Bring enough clothes. Check weather. Plan trip.

Thanks for the heads up folks, I only have a very rough travel plan but this is a good reason to delve deeper.

They asked me at immigration counter, where you stay. Of course you can wallop any hotel address la they wouldnt check. But seriously book earlier better prices. Use google travel to search for hotels, I find always cheaper.

Go check AirBnb, then check if can deal direct.
I only had chat conversation booking with address detail, immigration didn't check to see anything.
