Announcement...

This month w_w.ideatools.com.my offering Dvico Tvix 4100 for RM1440 w/o tuner. Go for it. As I understand there's new model coming out (Tivx 6500SH) early this year.

But I just manage to get one from other dealer with Tvix 4100SH + tuner for RM1450. Incredible machine with multi capable playback. With HDMI, the 4100SH will meet most of my current requirements. ( A media storage, Media Player and DVB-T Tuner)

For other divx fans, who interested to purchased Tivx better buy in bulk it may save RM. As new model arrive, the price 4100 will go down soon.

FYI- This set being used by most branded tv manufacturer for displaying their HD LCD tv at commercial centers. Just check at Jusco's.

any Tvix comments ?

guys sorry to steal the thread. It seems to me Dvico is expensive if compared to PS3 40G. Both also can do streaming. I guess PS3 also can play those video format once the firmware is ready ??
*
Please dont compare with the gamers and a/v enthusiast. This is a dedicated machine for a/v not for games, and do not compare the price with other game machine. I do agree that PS3 soon will have this ability but it will be limited capability as compared to dvico.

As price concern, this machine was design in korea and manufactured in China thus will minimsed the cost. New Firmware support released almost everymonth.

Guys this is the ultimate machine for a/v crazyness. rclxm9.gif

u need to ask remux king aiman biggrin.gif
i tested once, workable, with 5.1 as well

i think rite now, 4100 more stable, 6500 still need some time
if u ineterested in the progress, can look for it in avs
*
You rite.. mine one 4100 run smothly, HDMI 1.3 work well. I did tested with 1080i video and no problem. All avi, mkv file outputed via SD or HD tv. The only problem is getting software.. 4.3Gb up to 30Gb!!
Worth buying for 4100SH but those want to spend more can get newer model.

added bonus for those have a DVB-T Tuner installed, RTM now transmitting the SD and HD signal in Klang valley. Just connected to UHF antenna. that it.

supposingly hdmi shud have better results, but i dun think there is any issue there
*
agreed to rx330, tested on components and hdmi not much diffrence but Hdmi better in resolution.Tune your sensivity of eyes for this test season. or your hdmi is having a problem. (check the hdmi cable too).

Have anyone have latest firmware for 4100 or 5100. (Full support for mkv embedded subtitle). meanwhile RTM is still on trial broadcasting DTTV (DVB-S) over klang valley. enjoy with dvico tuner.

Can zdan confirm if RTM broadcast planet earth in HD? What antenna do I need for this DVB-T tuner? Where to buy the tuner?

Also I was really happy with the new FW last night, played 1080/24 with sub relaly well.. It's defnitely worth upgrading.
*
Not sure yet. what is the airing time.? For the antenna just used normal UHF tv antenna will do. mine can get 100% signal strength in klang valley.

sorry mate for late reply cause most of my time is on satellite broadast.

Just to share and be one of the the proud owner of Dvico.
KL AV show recently really show the capability and the potential of Dvico player among others players as well. Most AV exibitors used Dvico player to show the function and capability of HDMI cables and HD displays. This mean that a Dvico is not ordinary player but may consider as professional player. rclxms.gif

ar188 told me to build HTPC better. Now, seriously of getting one. But, no budget yet. Have to wait til I settle my 7.1 setup first.
*
emm... previously I was thinking to built a HTPC, then after a lot of consideration then I decided to drop it from my wish list due to...

- Bootup time.
- Sometimes hang.
- Cost.
- not user friendly (my kid will complaint)

but if your current PC is ready for it why not addup a fews components to make it HTPC.

well that my opinion.

then my last solution is Dvico.... rclxm9.gif

Download from rapidshare! i use maxis 3g broadband where i got hsdpa at my home. download speed in the range of 100-200kbps.. 720p file usually 4-8Gb.. usually one day or less for one 720p movie to finnish downlad... but its surely worth the wait when you watch it in ur LCD tv and ur 5.1! i watch using my acer 5920g through hdmi for video and spdif optical for audio! jz Brilliant!

neway, u can get pirated Blu-ray for rm20 a piece.. my fren found one in hartamas and another in Bandar Utama.. but becareful r, sometimes da seller juz put regular non-hd movie in there..

yeah, better download rather than buying fake BD, All carry BD tag but the contents is DVD9! huh...
