Dvico - New Player from Dvico to replace Dvico 6500a
Dvico with new processor to replace Dvico 6500a

so the remark above refers to 6600 and not 8000series? I guess have to wait longer to find out about the 8000 series then.. cheers

hi all, newbie question:
How on earth does one navigate between hard disks and hard disks partition on Dvico? I found this extremely user-unfriendly. Read the manual and it said use number 1,2,34 to select partitions, and 6,7,8,9 to select hard disks. Can someone please advise...thanks!!

most of the fakes I see round here in Kuching are Dvico 7000 which sells for RM900, but also see some retailers selling for RM1500.
It has problem when doing firmware update where it could brick the unit.
Watch out for fake.

Maybe I should only pay after updating fw! what you think?

Hi, using fw 1.3.147 now. I have David Foster and Friends BD rip and the audio option is either stereo or PCM 5.1, if am not mistaken. The default is stereo and I can't find a way to select PCM5.1.
Using the beta release was easy, but issues with some files bigger than 30g.

Many thanks in advance!

Have you tried using safe upgrade?

I see no reason to type what someone else has already described so look here http://forum.canman.se/showthread.php?t=7030

On the subject of the new Tvix 6600 according to some it is going to be more expensive that other players using the same chip see http://www.mpcclub.com/modules.php?name=Ne...order=0&thold=0

Yup, done and succeeded! Thanks.

Hi guys,

New owner of the 6500 here smile.gif

Any valuable tips to share with me? One prob 1 noticed while playing it last night was, whenever i paused the movie half way for too long, and then try to resume it, the whole thing reboots.

Is it a commonly known problem? Also, i tried playing the same movie from my PC on my Dvico, my PC's AQ seems sharper and better. BTW, i'm using HDMI to connect my Dvico to my LCD.

Any suggestions is greatly appreciated

Thanks

Never had this happened before, and don't think this is a commonly known problem. Hope others may enlighten you more.

What is BD-J menu? I see everything from the FBI warning etc. For eg, for David Foster & friends, you have that menu screen where you can choose to play all, select song etc...

OK, see what you mean now...guess will have to check and revert. Only get full BD rips for certain movies which I really like, especially concerts. So may not be able to offer any info at all...!

Am contemplating getting VHD HMDI Flat. Which connection do you sifus think is better: DVICO - AVR or AVR - plasma? DON'T suggest getting two cos I only have enough to get one 2m cable. Thanks in advance!
