QUOTE(andyz @ Mar 2 2009, 10:36 PM) i will read up and test the resetting feature.. might have to network the dvico and than use ssh to enter to modify... ...actually just now as i was testing .. counter drop to around 90... and than when i off and on .. the counter reseted it self to 100 again... sorry andyz, when you meant BD rip did you mean copy the whole folder over? or BD rip = BD iso? Have you tried BD ISO? Just want to know more before puchasing it... Thanks in advance for the answers. This post has been edited by geforce1999: Mar 3 2009, 01:40 PM

QUOTE(ozak @ Mar 20 2009, 03:37 PM) Copy and burn as an ISO image file. It will retain everything as BD. Yes, that can be done but the question is any media player can play it straight on BD ISO without any problem on selecting the audio, subtitle, and pop-up menu like the BD player does?

Just curious, anyone of you encoutner playing some of your mkv files using Dvico device? I don't mean generally but some mkv files only show the image but no sound? And those files are playing beautifully on PC? Just try to check as I have some mkv files can't play on one media player recently... Not sure why?

Pardon me for asking stupid questions. What is the file size for ts/m2ts? We just copy them out fo BD or need 3rd party software to rip it?
Added on June 10, 2009, 11:06 amI don't have BD drive so that I can't see what is inside the BD....

QUOTE(pierreye @ Jun 10 2009, 11:15 AM) Depends on the movie. You need some tools to strip the BD down. Normally after stripping out the menu and extra should be around 20 - 25Gb. If you want to cut down the size further, you need to remux it into MKV which should be around 8 to 12Gb for 1080p x264 with DTS sound. Currently no solution for TrueHD in mkv container. Unless you mix the TrueHD into multichannel FLAC but might not work on Dvico. ts/m2ts should preserve the movie quality as we didn't reencode the movie. Thanks for the info pierreye. So what you are saying is mkv most likely don't have TrueHD but DTS? For ts/m2ts file, how should I get them from BD? If it isn't related to the thread, may be you can pm me for detail? Thanks in advance for the time...

QUOTE(pierreye @ Jun 10 2009, 04:39 PM) Yes. mkv can't use TrueHD. For BD rip, check out Afterdawn forum. Tons of info how to do this. thanks for the info. will check it out.
