All car rubber seals today are hollow inside so it can confirm to difficult shapes and contours when pressed. Only very old cars like 1980-1990 uses solid rubber seals.

But today you can buy aftermarket add on seals and attach it like the WRV on the doors to improve NVH.

Yes, after few year the rubber feel dry & harden even after apply silicon rubber grease.

after tried to diy, found the cord i insert stuck in the middle and force out via the split cut hole...then i know it got hole for water flow out...

I saw it in person, only the highest spec looks decent. For 100k it's a hard pass. So many better option within that price range. Honda is nuts pricing it that way.

It more like bigger than A segment but slight smaller B segment. Ativa is larger as Myvi size which is B segment.

Not serious design flaw la. I believe they added that to solve sound buffeting sound which is apparent as our head level is same on window.

Then he went over to CRV which had all round seal. As the car was sold as higher range, it require more seals for NVH.

Its acceptable la. for that dirt annoyance, unless you somehow managed to get a rock stuck inside thats another story. They could choose to crimp seal the top. but c'mon.... this is budget range car, they won;t spend the extra to do that. If you use silicone to cover the hole, it would harden and cause other problems.
