Apologies for digging up an old thread but the info/update on this thread is a year old and new releases come out all the time, I would like to get new information for a good desktop search engine.

I had tried Google Desktop Search, Copernic and X1.
X1 seems to be the all rounder here, but its abit memory intensive and keep hanging on me at times.

Anyone have been using these utilities and care to comment abit?
