Setting the ONR as GPON Bridge mode will turn it into another "stupid" ONU that we now grew to love for (at least when compared to the shitty ONR mode).
With only the phone handled by the "stupid" ONU, while the rest all bridged downstream.
Downstream PPPoE router need to be VLAN-capable.


Bridging mode 2.
More complicated, but it involves initially configuring the ONR as GPON Router as how TM intends us to use it.
Then, manually change connection mode for VLAN500 from PPPoE dialer into bridge.
This will pump VLAN500 downstream.
Your option whether you want VLAN tagging to be disabled or to be enabled for downstream PPPoE router to handle.

My ASUS RT-AX82U not getting ~800mbps download speed after i got the free auto upgrade from 500mbps to 800mbps few weeks ago.

Can only get ~650mbps tops but that is on using WIFI6 devices such as ipad pro M1 and iphone 13.
Didn’t test on using LAN cable though.

I thought Asus RT-AX82U is a powderful router already?

Other provider now keep doing a lot of offer and cut price.
Now Astro Fibre even offer 500Mbps for RM90 per month and it is fixed price for 24 months.
