Just sharing my swu upgrade results. Upgraded from 100Mbps 2019 Turbo plan to SWU 300Mbps plan.

Technician came to install on Thursday, gave us FiberHome SR1041F router (1unit).

So far my speedtest looks good, and the FiberHome router also works better than I thought so far.

5m away from router, 5Ghz channel. No direct line of sight, no door.
Device: iPhone 11


2nd floor, back bathroom. 2.4Ghz channel. Furthest point from the router within the house. About 4-5 walls in between.

Nothing to complain about I guess, the Wifi6 itself is already outperforming my AC68u in all aspects for speed and range.
If I have to upgrade from here, means burn more money la 

It is not bad, but lacking wifi performance + mesh tech to build as a mesh based on wifi backbone.
So if you connect it via cable, sure acceptable enough.

300M? ok la
500M? cable la

Also nat boost might be a issues for lowering down the wifi performance, as CPU take time for processing, for local it can hit 500M, but with overhead of CPU, it give much lower speed la.

Or his house simply not as solid as he thought.

Congrats, I went to TMPoints last Thursdays and they told me subject to HQ approval, until now still didn’t see any order at my unifi apps account

Good for you la, even RM 99 300M will be enough for me, but yes, RM 119 500M more future proof.

But when I went there, 2 versions diff² staff told me. 1 is 50 > 300 & another is 50 > 100 (which does not make sense considering the new 89 100Mbps).

Contract ended few years ago but keep waiting good plan to appear like SWU 3.0

I think most will get nothing from the MSAP 2026 . for example ,100 mbps package is priced RM89 / RM99 . it means 100 mbps may be reverted to RM99 in a few months . in year 2026 , TM will announce price reduction across the board due to MSAP 2026 . 100 mbps /RM99 will be reduced to 100mbps/rm89 . it means the existing subscribers in year 2023 will get nothing. do not pin high hope on MSAP 2026 .

At TM Point the staff said no problem. Just terminate your current plan if there is no contract and resub the new rm89.

Is this a thing with Lionsgate Play? On then off then on the off again, over the course of 2 years. Need to resubscribe to Ultimate Whatever The Next again and again, forever renewing for another 2yrs, is it, TM?

Doubt so, I can’t remember who here but someone stuck a piece of paper into the ONU to pretend that it’s dead to get a replacement. FOC cuz ONU is literally free to them cuz of how cheap it is

same idea, just disconnect Fiber optic, call them tell say internet doesn't work and cannot see any LEDs blinking since all kaput dy.

nah, they come with ONU/ONT and just replace it straight away. Won't cari pasal, unless u make him angry.

I had to pay for mine in 2018 because of the Turbo Upgrade. Went from 50mbps to 500mbps. The old ONU could only support up to 100mbps (Fast Ethernet).

Interesting, ONU should be FOC tho, maybe not for upgrade but 1 unit is only like RM10+ for TM from what I heard, next time if need change it’s most likely from the installer and not TM officially, keep an eye out

You can try to walk in to Tmpoint and request. Although some said can't get SWU after the free upgrade, who knows luck on your side.
Actually don't even have to disconnect the fibre,  just turn off the ONU and their system will show your internet is down. For extra step you can just use a small pin to press the ONU reset button so that it clear all the config.

in fb unifi group, rm99 50mbps user are getting 300mbps free upgrade, meaning that 300mbps users are getting pump to 800mbps. stay tune 😁

Could it be a glitch? Because I think very few reported the upgrade to 800Mbps ...
