last monday when technician come check, he brought in white color ZTE modem but ended up did'nt really replace the huawei silver with that ZTE, because my problem was actually at TM side didnt configure the account properly for speed upgrade. so yeah

the huawei silver HG8240w gotta live for another decade i think. I was surprised it can last that long since first installed in 2014

when days after speed upgrade announced onu random disconnected and become unstable, after call 100 let technician came, then technician fixed the outside pole drop cable box (green color one at the back alley of house) for free

After outside fiber pole fixed, then 300m become kinda stable again. But when sms came said upgrade has completed, speed was still the same, then live chat again to complain speed had not changed and let the technician come again to check. Fortunately is because TM problem again due to account misconfiguration so another free visit for the technician (feel a bit bad for them, haha)


Many years ago fiber got cut due to install some pump outside the home, once called tm to let technician fix the fiber, just resplice the cable only and is done fix, Fortunately was kinda foc other than maybe rm53 service charge i didn't remember whether got charged in bill or not

yeah luck as well as your negotiation skill can increase the probability to get swu3

see from FB group unifi members, when someone go tmpoint ask any cheaper, at first tmpoint staff only offer the regular package of OCT 2023 meant for new customers, then he ask about swu, staff said only for those who want to terminate unifi can offer, then he said maxis (or other isp like celcomdigi) can offer him cheaper deals, then staff reluctant to offer swu3 rm119 plan eventually


some branches may force to signup unifi mobile postpaid just for gain commission, fortunately can be terminated after a month because no contract

If you seek for downgrade after finished contract, tm is more than welcome you to do so with swu3.0 provided that you renew contract for another 2 years. TM wins also Actually coz they can charge you easily for another 2 years haha

Is it 100mbps OR ngam ngam 94mbps?


Because if ngam ngam 94mbps then only can confirm its cable problem (especially some router stock cable can be quite problemmatic OR the Flat shape cable that came with tplink deco) my deco flat shape cable got serious problem cause capped at less than 10mbps lol fortunately got spare cat5e cable then fixed

yeah that's why i wonder why some samseng midrange so stingy especially A34 still stuck with wifi 5 despite using recent mtk d1080 platform

Yeah so much confusion from tm retail touchpoints. Some places no legit tm point at all.

Although this year onwards tm retail division got some improvements like rebranded and new unifi stores that will hopefully expand to nationwide soon

this as well as alcatel are among the first to support up to 800mbps

Cat 5 E is more than enough lah even for 1gbps (940mbps)

buat sekarang hanya TIME dan celcomdigi offer FTTR technology, very expensive even compared to mesh systems from tp link or asus
