I would like to know seller's responsibilities and liabilities

Remarks: I indistinctly knows the answer, i just want some confirmation

when u check out time u got buy insurance for skin allergy ?

if customer didnt buy protection, whatever happens to buyer, seller can escape responsibilities?

i dont think this world is that "convenient"

actually is very difficult to prove it is their product problem except u make an officially complain to the authority with lab test ...
only after that u can see what u can claimed from the seller ...

u need send to lab test to check whether the ingredients are accurate as advertised

Why go after the shopee seller but not the product holder/owner?

Or is it the official shop in shopee?

Eg. You buy product brand A from watson and you get allergy, you should go after the brand A holder/owner, not watson (seller).

Then yes, he will be liable if something bad happens to the consumers because he is selling "illegal" cosmetics.

Any beauty products need to undergo registration with KKM/NPRA. If anything happened yes you may get arrested by authorities, depending on seriousness.

That really depends on what transpired between seller and buyer, it could be the seller's fault if he used misleading tactics to trick seller into buying

Does he care about embarassing his parents?

Taking such risk, will jeapordize his and your name.
Even if make lots of money, then victims complain and lawsuits come in, then the money will be going to legal fees.
Ruin reputation, who is going to do business with the two of you anymore?

Invest in biz, do so much work, spend so much time, while risking in creating victims... talk to your brother
and then quit to preserve your reputation, because if he fails, at least after prison, you can still help him get back on his feet.

-he wants to earn continuously passive income monthly 2-3k
- he said the cosmetics products is okay, if it isnt okay, the dropship company wont dare to sell it in malaysia

Even criminals diversify into legitimate business.
Not declaring income and paying tax = crime.
Not even saying about undeclared cosmetics.

Unless you take and do lab test make sure is safe products how can you know for sure? Most fake products have steroids, people use really become better, because steroids ma! suddenly, i realized, by telling him about "notified" cosmetics, i iprobably cause him in deeper hole.

now, he probably shift from unbranded china product to counterfeit product.

he told me, he expected if he sold one product around RM20, he expected to earn RM10 in profit. he smugly told me "you dont know meh? its factory production cost"

is profit margin this high?

i dont want to interfere with him anymore, i am real tired. Therefore, i wont know whether what he sell its authentic or not.

But i heard from him, he doesnt intend to declare income.

I also hope tax man also cut him some slack, even of he didnt declare, he isnt in taxable bracket.
