QUOTE(pooh88 @ Oct 25 2007, 09:44 AM) I don like the Ultimate taukeh in Ampang, cos i find him not a friendly guy Haha so sorry to hear that, but to be honest i didnt experience any of these problem. He's will said something nasty about other products which they don't sell If i'm not mistaken, the uncle only sell wilson rackets, but when i asked him for babolat, he also tried to get it for me. I am not sure if the price is the cheapest, because i cant really go around and ask since i am in aussie, and my parents are picking it up for me from the shop. So all i did was made a call there, ask for the racket i wanted, and my parents went to pick it. He didnt even try to sell me anything else.. but i did bought an nblade from him as well. I just think its really convenient and reasonable... haha Can you guys guess how much is the retail price for a babolat pure drive standard here in aussie?? |

QUOTE(artemis348 @ Oct 26 2007, 11:04 AM) Ultimate Sports also sell Babolat, and Head tennis racquets. I was there last week and (unless I'm confused with another shop) saw the Aeropro and Pure drive. I never paid attention to the Head racquets. Hmm i am not really sure about babolat but yes i have seen heads racket there. I was told by them that they didnt get babolat directly from the manufacturer... haha not really sure...QUOTE(pooh88 @ Oct 26 2007, 11:32 AM) SG 260 is around how much in Ringgit ar?the pure drive i got was Rm450 i think |

QUOTE(Bepeon @ Oct 27 2007, 09:49 PM) Tried Wilson K6-1 95 today... Man, this racquet provides no power at all.... Nice control but i don't think i'm good enough to use this racquet.... i heard its a very heavy racquet... small headsize summore... only for world number 1 to handle?? HAHAH anyway the price 570 for the aerodrive with cortex is quite good i guess but i just bought it for my friend.... and he seems to be happy so yea.. |

Pure drive is around 470 in malaysia i think...
but i think its really expensive to get racquet in aussie... since i am studying here and i have been to considerably many tennis shops.. and the price are all offf... Pure drive in malaysia cost Rm470 is around Ausd360 here in aussie.. however if this is the only place that you could get the wilson Us version that you wanted... then maybe you should go ahead.. |

QUOTE(artemis348 @ Oct 29 2007, 10:46 AM) Yes, I know the price is expensive in Oz, checked them out a couple of times. But hey, if it's a simpler path for getting the racquet, I suppose I'll pay the extra. But still, would see if my friend can bring it in. If not, I'll have to have it bought there and brought back. Win some lose some... i see.. i am quite sure there is no problem bringing it into malaysia, it only depends on your friend.K-factor sounds good but i haven had a chance to play with it... maybe when i get back to msia .... Added on October 29, 2007, 11:13 amheard you guys were playing Sega virtua tennis 3... is it available for pc?? vista compatible??? This post has been edited by jiahuilee: Oct 29 2007, 11:13 AM |

nblade is good.. but if you are looking for power from your racquet, you can try ncode six... i feel the racquet has plenty of power when hitting the ball, but lack of control... so its up to you to decide...

QUOTE(artemis348 @ Oct 31 2007, 01:11 AM) The prices do not include stringing. Usually, I end up paying 20-something or 30 bucks for the stringing, I think. But honestly, I didn't really check, but it's somewhere around there. If you want to count that, you probably want to count your travel expenses as well, coz the savings you may get could be negated by the travel expenses. haha very true. stringing can cost quite abit.. so be prepared to pay up to 40bucks for it depending on what type of strings you want.Nblade is good but somehow i find it abit too stiff for my liking. so depends on how you like it to be lo |

QUOTE(eason47 @ Nov 2 2007, 01:38 PM) I'm a newbie... haha i am from kajang as well... but as far as i know... there are no free tennis court around.never played tennis before... i'm looking for someone to play with around kajang... or is there any place to play tennis around kajang...for free...\public tennis court... if there's any tennis wall for me to practice my own that's better... Is there any tennis equipment shop around kajang or serdang... Is the badminton replacement grip suitable for use on a tennis racquet? The only place i went to play tennis was in Palm Garden resort which is somewhat near kajang i suppose... only 15minutes drive. I am not sure about equipment for tennis in kajang but i do know a sports shop in the town which is 1 row beside billion mall... that shop does sell badminton stuff.. but not sure about tennis. Tennis equipment can be very costly when you buy it at rip off places.. so becareful. haha i wish that i can play with you... but currently busy... so maybe next time! |

actually i helped my housemate to buy it. and i have tried it a few times, i must say it is good..... the raquet head size, weight almost everything is to my liking. the cortex system is perfect to damp the vibration from reaching the grip... considerably better than wilson's triad series in feel. very good for volley, but lack of power for my game. So instead i prefer using babolat pure drive.

QUOTE(artemis348 @ Nov 5 2007, 01:54 PM) Medium swing, single backhand. I am using the pure drive standard, because of my backhand. Double backhand players are recommended to try the longer pure drive Plus as it gives the extension needed and also more power for forehand strokes.QUOTE(munyip7 @ Nov 7 2007, 02:14 PM) i bought a Prince racket once on ebay. after 3 months it snap on the neck when i played a forehand. lolz!! eveyone was suprised and laughing. even the tennis coach nearby found it amusing. first time he ever saw a racket snap on the neck area. lolz. i reply that i was a pretty ganas player and the racket can't handle me.....ahahahah Haha, i suppose you are really strong then. Did the ball burst?? haha just joking!PS. Prince do not warrant rackets bought on eBay. I suppose every other brand also. Hope you get a new racquet soon!! |

If you are just picking up the game.. and feel like getting a solid racquet... i highly recomend you to get a 2nd hand racquet. Some very good racquet are being sold second hand at a very very cheap price... i remember getting my sister a wilson Hammer for like Rm120. And it was really good.
However the only shop i have been to that sell 2nd hand racquet is the one in ampang sports ultimate i think. |
