I need some advice on owning a cat at condominium. I never had any pet before and I have zero experience.
My kids want to adopt cats but my concern is that we live at higher floor condominium and I m afraid the cat will climb the balcony or window and fall off. Are there any cat owners in this forum who live at the condo? How do you ensure the safety of the cat?

having 5 cats myself

1. they are smarter than kids

2. they are usually cautious

3. if ur house pose danger to cats, i think ur kids are even in greater danger

4. toilet training is a must.

5. if u willing invest some time in early stage(1st 90days)
to train house rules and toilet

6. u save alot money, and cat maintenance are very minimum.

My apartment has windows which are not grilled. They are kept open during the day while I m at home. I close when I go out. My kids don't go near the windows, so it doesn't pose danger to them. I heard that the cats like to climb on things and that's why I was worried and wanted to ask advise from someone who keeps cats cat condos or apartments. Do I need to keep my windows closed at all times or need to install grill before owning a cat?
