QUOTE(UPM_Parasite @ Nov 21 2007, 12:36 AM) erm noob Q : It is using pci-express 2.0, however it is backwards compatible with pcie 1.0 if not mistaken.. HD 3870 is using PCI-Ex32 right??? so it diff with PCI-E ah???? It is is basically the same, just bandwith differences.. the pci-e32 you mentioned is about the motherboard, as in each lane able to provide 16x in dual graphic card mode.. Worry not, as long as you're having a motherboard with pci express, you are most likely to be able to use this graphic card.. |

Yeah i wanna know the performance of the card too especially in crisis compared to 8800gt...
i know 8800gt is definitely better but what's the difference in gameplay, is it negligible? This post has been edited by eternity86: Nov 21 2007, 10:54 PM |

QUOTE(bst dude @ Nov 22 2007, 11:36 PM) Dammit, i just put in an order for 3870 today with an 8800 gt in my hand.. Am still thinking if i should change the 8800gt for 3870.. Since you've experienced both, mind telling me if its better to change to 3870? My main concern is just for crysis... This post has been edited by eternity86: Nov 23 2007, 12:07 AM |

QUOTE(underworld @ Nov 25 2007, 02:05 AM) HIS 3850 rm 799 That price i think is over rated, i could get an asus 3870 for less than 900 and asus 3850 for less than 700... HIS 3870 rm 1099 powercolor 3870 rm 1099 sapphire 3850 rm 700 price seems quite xpensive ..rather get 8800GT And the price is from a shop not straight from distributor, no moqs and whatsoever.. |
