Anyone sent in their "request for further info" submission recently?

Just sent in mine today, with just slightly > 2 weeks to planned date.

I'm travelling with 3 friends, Taiwanese. Which their ETAs get approved almost immediately.

I know it is entirely my fault for not checking more details since my friends told me ETA can get almost immediately (true for 99% of Taiwanese).

What I submitted:
- Form 1554
- Form 54
- passport, nric
- Taiwanese ARC (proof of residency and employment status)
- 2024 tax statement
- 3 months Payslips
- 3 months bank statements
- officially certified Certificate of Balance from my bank
- Itinerary, fully booked tickets and hotels

Now have to stressfully waiting dunno how many days.

1. I assume you applied for a Subclass 601 visa.

2. My visa was approved in 2 days last time (August this year).

3. The documents you submitted look fine, except for the booked ticket.

4. The rule is to book the ticket only after the visa is secured

Age is a huge factor yea, based on friends and family experiences. Above 40yo usually get their ETA approved immediately. Below that, every time apply also require further info.  laugh.gif

Apparently for Malaysian only, high risk country for plane jumper
With MYR rising, will they be more lenient in the future? tongue.gif

I guess my profile is quite unconventional, thus the delay...
Case officer might not be experienced with Taiwanese documents.

Final update:
- Most probably going to cancel my flight in a few hours.
- Two weeks+ without any responses
- In hindsight, I would recommend others in the same age bracket as me (below 30) to directly apply for the Subclass 600 Visitor Visa instead.
- From what I have read, ETA further processing, in some cases, has indefinite processing time, whereas for Subclass 600, they have a deadline to meet.

Sorry to hear that. Below 30 I think the rejection rate is even higher. Best to apply few months in advance.

Have you tried to contact them and request for an update?

Sent enquiry forms on ETA apps, DoHA websites (to both Manila and Seoul office), complaint forms.
Zero responses. 😅

Call twice the service center.
First time told me nothing I can do except wait.
Second time transfer me to a "specialist", record my details and told me they left a 'note' on my files.

Anyway should've apply earlier.
Queue for my age bracket must be long.
