May not be directly attributed to "aeroplane jumpers" but it's not a myth that Malaysian passport holders are getting rejected left and right.

One registered migration lawyer's office requested Freedom of Information via Immigration Australia for below statistics (assuming border only reopens around March 2022) - that's like a huge spike in rejections. For what reasons? We all know...

And if this source is more reliable for you - it was even called out in Australia Parliamentary papers biggrin.gif. If you want to see how 'disgusting' some of our own kinds are - just go and find the non-English version of facebook group for Malaysian communities @ Australia.

This is more reliable definitely, and I appreciate your efforts.

I can understand from that definitely how our nation's supposed "visitors" act and I believe it surely would have impacted the rejection rates to a certain extent.

Quoting recent reported incident of Malaysian travelers (not "aeroplane jumpers"), vandalizing Japan's Bamboo forest (source would be news based rather than empirical). I can say its definitely the mentality of these people.

Embarrassing Malaysia - One Tourist At A Time

I can probably infer a few possible reasons, without intending to defend these people:
- Uneducated or poorly educated, no way out, in search of a proper livelihood, bought ticket and escaped this way.
- Same poorly educated / uneducated that they are, lived the way they have been here (which most of the time is not contributing positively to community / society) - impacts the same environment they escaped to, but with the added benefits of social protection there.
- Enough local people there complaints for authorities to take action.
- Rejection rates rise.

I mean, even when Malaysians eat out, they also don't clean after themselves - Citing "I paid for this" etc etc. Come on, cleaning after one self is not about transactional action, but rather a demeanor of a civilized individual; Toilets, wet and clogged, same issue.

I see multiple issues that could have risen and led to this phenomena, affecting all travelers alike, starting right at home, all the way to the haven that they escaped to.

Unfortunate, but I can see this happen everywhere too.

Hopefully, we can be a strong and developed enough of a nation to essentially be a better place to live and work, and stop people from wanting to "escape" altogether.
