Update 2 : can't upload Form 1554. it says encrypted. I have tried to unlock the pdf with ilovepdf.com, print to pdf via chrome/edge, even print and rescan. heck it gives the same error if upload a jpg image of the form.

After fill up the form, don’t click save. Instead, print it as pdf so it won’t be encrypted file.

Just to share.

I've applied my ETA last year for business purpose which approved the next day based on documentation provided.

This feb, I applied for my wife and 2 kids, as they will follow me (my eta still valid till Aug) for another trip to Sydney coming April. After the documentation submission (flight, hotel, payslip, etc.) it took 7 business days to get approval.

most probably because i didnt upload my letter of employment kot.. sebab the reason the gave was i got no incentive to go back to malaysia eventhough i have gave them the flight + accomodation itinerary

I just did mine with family 2 weeks ago. Only uploaded payslip, flight and hotel (fully paid non refundable). Trip for total of 11 days. Approved within 7 business days.
Was there a reason given for rejection?

From my experience, the first time I've applied last year, i didn't even have flight and hotel booked since my meeting with client was not confirmed to exact date.
I still applied ETA and got it approved within a day. This year, for the whole family, even with flight+hotel, it took 7 days.
