If i recall there are also multiple stories in the news of msian travellers being turned away at the boarding gate. Sob stories about burning prepaid travel with no recourse since the officers decision at KLIA will over ride any prior approvals.

I think we're just lucky that Msia had a good international standing back in the days. Now with all the jump aeroplane fellas, its just a matter of time we lose UK and AU visa free status if this trend continues.
I feel AU already giving us pretty much defacto visa regime with all the documents required to be submitted for the ETA. Other country passports like US dont require the same level of scrutiny when applying for AU ETA.
