Confirmed project already? Where will be the station in Bukit Segambut, Mont Kiara and Sri Hartamas?

MRT3 is likely to proceed but no idea when it going to start, but as usual malaysia pattern is prone to U-turn. You can get all the proposed MRT stations on google map by searching the station name. But still, nothing is 100% confirmed at the moment.

I can only say for this station because I saw some evidence of MRT Corp’s involvement. I personally think the Circle Line will take many years more to happen and this site will have other commercial activities on it first.

I agree, it may be even longer due to the tunnel section which would be extremely costly to do

1. Jalan Kuching Station - Build in the middle of no where, only serve a few condo resident.
2. Bukit Segambut, the area wont change due to the title, foresee very low ridership on this area
3. titiwangsa - Purposely route to TTWS to meet up other interchange, should route to MRT jalan ipoh and Sentul area then meet up again at Jalan Langkawi then can serve huge ridership, between jalan kuching - TTWS, quite long and nothing, wasted.
4. Taman Midah, Salak Selatan & Kuchai lama - Need so many interchange?

Etc.. lazy to mention more.

what do you mean by extremely costly? the standard rule of thumb is at-grade 1x, elevated 2x and underground 4x.

The Jalan Kuching station is 60s away from the main road. I don’t foresee how they could build it any closer to the main road due to the KTM line. By pushing slightly inwards they get to build a new KTM interchange station and serve as catchment for the 4 to 5 condos in the vicinity. Roads will need to be widened though.

Speculating MRT3 at this juncture is a pure gamble given that alignment is not ready yet, not to mention the private funded portion is still up in the air. That's not to mention the u-turn from all the different administrations that keep flip flopping the requirements. Which private company is gonna risk it with no government guarantee (which the current gov doesn't wanna give because reduction in gov febt)?

Exactly, the old plan is interchange with Sentul Barat which is more make sense and should shoot directly to Sentul point area which is super high density there then only shoot back to Jalan Langkawi.

Jalan Kuching should have a better catchment though. Sentul already has MRT.

Jalan Kuching only a few condo there and no place for parking building, and purposely route to TTWS need to spend a lot cause of complications.

Route to Sentul is for those want to interchange to CBD and also able to get catchment of Sentul point area.

So basically the area highlighted in yellow will have temporary building for workers to construct MRT station.

I think MRT station is still too far away in terms of timing, so I’m guessing it’s most probably the workers who will build Miranda Hill, BON Kiara, TWY2. There are other businesses on it too so it looks like the owner wants to generate some income from the land while waiting for MRT3 to start

Just learned from BON Kiara thread that the developer will link Jalan Kiara 3 and Jalan Duta Kiara which is some tens of metres from this site. Below is the article:
