Reviving this old thread but not sure whether it's still relevant to you.

While testing TP-Link NX510V yesterday, it lets me to lock onto B28.

maxshit some area very congested even carrier aggregation with band 1+3+7 also get 20mbps only.

b28 is anchor band for 5G nsa, so lock to b28 no need congest with other 4G users on band 1/3/7.

before this, lock to single band 28 only can get 30-50mbps or higher for 4G.

been using for a year suddenly last night no longer can already.

I may think B28 belongs to DNB.
If you didnt subscribe to 5G, Maxis needs to bear the cost to pay DNB for what you consume on B28.
That is why they disallow it.

Having say that if you subscribe 5G but lock to only use 4G but not with 5G, doesnt make sense.

I just bought a new Hotlink pack out of curiosity after using Umobile for several years.
I even subscribed to the 80GB 6Mbps Unlimited Plan.

For my area - USJ Subang - The line is congested in almost all bands at night, akin like everyone balik kampung on a Karak highway. No matter my device switch to 1,3,7,8 almost all is congested. Worse than my Umobile.
Had to restart the connection several times.

I would had expected Maxis backbone to be great but looks like their advertisement is nothing but scam.
My wifey using 5G on Hotlink is fine though.

Luckily I havent throw away my Umobile Prepaid , especially mine can still support the Giler Plan.

yes, digi can do that BUT they will first kick u to 2G first once u are out of B1/3/7/8 coverage
You can force B28 only by lock band to B28 and also to 4G ONLY
Or else it will drop to 2G , by lock the network to 4G only it will retain in B28
Tested in a non 5G Digi plan

Phone connect B28, speed is better about 15 to 20mbps
But if enable all band, speed less that 1mbps
Not sure is it ok to post screenshot
My phone no 5G, not sure why last time i test cannot
Not sure how long can use, maybe a week? A month?

You need to pay for 5G pass to access it since need to pay extra to DNB for access rights.

No not all telco can access it. If you're on legacy plans with only 4G you cannot access it as well even for CelcomDiGi and Umobile.

I am still legacy plans for both telcos above with no 5G pass cannot access B28 as well.
