Wasn't it only band 3 and band 7 for Maxis LTE?

maxshit some area very congested even carrier aggregation with band 1+3+7 also get 20mbps only.

b28 is anchor band for 5G nsa, so lock to b28 no need congest with other 4G users on band 1/3/7.

before this, lock to single band 28 only can get 30-50mbps or higher for 4G.

been using for a year suddenly last night no longer can already.

Since the DNB has right for the LTE Band 28, probably the band is now utilized for the 5G. Furthermore Maxis is now offering 5G service.

But you mentioned that you cannot lock the 4G. As far as I know 5G is not backward compatible with 4G, not like WiFi

Chill...
When I disable every band except band28 on my S9+ (Hotlink), it showed Band:PGSM900 (usually it would show the band number) and my phone only gets 2G.

Still, I'm kinda surprised that they are allowed to use 4G on band 28.

Seems like MaxShit is forcing its customers to upgrade to 5G with higher fee. When customers complain slow speed, the solution is to upgrade to 5G plan.

ya…before this can locked to b28, now select b28 will be connected to 2G.

it's quite good experience for 4G user to use b28 because can get 30-50mbps speed constantly, while b1/3/7 very congested normally only get 20mbps and below.

You pure 4G subscriber? They block 4G users to attach band 28 due to Volte call drop issue when phone handover to band28.
If u 5G user, they cannot block this, so the volte call will drop if phone move from good b28 coverage.

but if u are 5g user profile then i duno d...

yea…using business postpaid.

but that's just an excuse for them to force user pay more for 5G.

because phone will normally automatically connected to b1/3/7/8 and not b28. for those who purposely lock to b28 with 4G/5G router won't care about phone call.

No lar. For nationwide, really many call din handover to 2g.. but handover to b28 due to wider coverage...

And force band is not normal user behaviour, i dun think they will care about these users...

Go for 5G

Confirm okay...

That's the Telco plan all along...

Don't want to invest $$$ for new 4G tower capacity & coverage....

Now "indirectly" forced everyone who have bad signal to get 5G....
