 Custom Made Enclosure for Kitchen Hood, can it reduce noise?

I'm going to purchase a kitchen hood that running on AC motor. Do you think custom made enclosure for kitchen hood can help to reduce noise? Need your advice.

no, but can help abit. Is this your actual photo? the duct cover/access panel should be conceal entire to look more neat

This is not mine. But, i plan to do cabinet to cover up kitchen hood.

My another concern, do i need to find the same kitchen hood model to replace in case it's spoilt in future? This is to ensure the new hood can fit into the custom made cabinet?

if you put a layer of rockwool 50mm thick around the metal part then cover it with 18mm plywood.. should reduce alot kua.
