Edit: Just realised I made a typo there. I'm running 405Mhz

i tried ini setting on eeectl 0.2.2 and it seem like once i underclock to 4xxMHz, i cant even clock it back to higher clockspeed, even default 630Mhz.

btw, ini files for eeectl 0.2.2 are different from 0.2.0, need some remodification.

anyway, i'm happy with 630Mhz speed. battery still can last pretty long for me to surf 3-4hrs, brightness 40%

here a tip for those using 2GB ram. since XP doesnt actually need 2GB, try install SuperSpeed RamDisk and allocate 256MB or higher for ramdisk. change TEMP/TMP/Temporary Internet Files/etc to ramdisk. this reduce wear and tear to ur SSD and best of all, it's DAMN FAST

use a needle or knife, slowly peel off. stick it somewhere which can be removed easily later. if anything happen and need RMA, replace back the RAM and stick back the sticker

u can try this out, i modded the ini to run at 433mhz choose 'lowest' setting. download and paste the ini into the eeectl directory overriding the old 1... for version 0.2.3 only.

Called the guy that sold me the eeepc tadi his reply was "impossible we didnt sell the surf model" seems like he didnt believe me zzz is there any site where i can refer and show them that im suppose to get the 5200mAh battery besides the eeewiki ?

my batt's says 440mAh on the label  
is there any way to check whether this is the 5200mAh batt in windows? any clue which software to use?

the eeepc is definately not for photoshop. u basically can't do nuts with the 800x480 screen resolution.

err.... i went to lowyat yesterday(saturday) the vendor told me 8G rm1999. i dont remember which shop but its next to escalator. which floor i dont remember. i quite like the eeepc but want to wait for the 8.9" version launch so i didnt ask much abt it.

saw a twinhead laptop sized like an eeepc but not sure the exact model number.selling for 1699 at mvaley.it runs on AMD and have 20GB memory if i'm not mistaken.so juz wanna ask if its worth buying this twinhead compare to eeepc?

juz bought adata 8GB class 6 SDHC at PC ZONE.. RM130 only.. good price.. hehe.. 4GB RM70... then i go for 8GB lor..

Elitegroup Computer Systems has officially unveiled the ECS G10IL mini-notebooks, featuring the Intel Atom "Diamondville" processor, 8.2-inch and 10.2-inch displays, and mobile broadband (HSPA) connectivity.

The "Diamondville" is Intel's upcoming single core Atom CPU, designed for use in UMPCs, MIDs, and small laptops. In the ECS G10IL, it is accompanied by the Intel 945 GSE chipset, up to 2GB of system memory, and a hard drive or solid state drive, depending on model.

According to the press release, HSPA (HSDPA/HSUPA) mobile broadband technology, built into the G10IL allows downloads speeds of up to 7.2Mb/s for the HSDPA and 2Mb/s for the HSUPA.
