EEE 900 model No WiMax, GPS or touchscreen, only with the multi-touch trackpad, looks not so good...maybe there will be another model with touch screen, GPS & WiMax but expensive price.

consider it's a laptop with less CPU power (about pentium 3 900mhz cpu) and with smaller SSD capacity and smaller screen. whatever software you can run on the laptop, as long as within the eeepc cpu power, the eeepc can run also it.

interesting item. where you bought it? it's looks like a japanese product. btw, after solder, can it sustain after long period of time? i worry it will melt or loose after long period of high temperature.

someone already soldered a CF to IDE on the eeepc, using the CF card as flash HDD for eeepc.

from what i got from the internet, 2nd is still using celeron, but slower speed 800mhz only. only the later version. maybe 3rd generation will use the Atom processor, well, more power saving, but performance almost same as 900Mhz celeron.

just learnt a new trick from internet, it might be already known by members here, for those who installed their eeepc with Windows XP, you can actually turn your screen in to 4 different angle. by press on Ctrl+Alt+Arrow key, you can turn 90% 180% 270% aand turn back to original angle.

normal laptop can't beat the weight and size of EEEPC. that's the EEEPC selling point.
