if u r using CFW shut down ur PSP then HOLD "R" while powering up(to go to the recovery console). go to the configuration settings and select enable flash player. to double check go to the setting in the PSP XMB and enable the flash player.

biggrin.gif
*
When im using 3.60m33 and 3.71m33-2.. there is some difference.. i wonder why..

FLASH can be disable at XMB on 3.60

But on 3.71 i couldnt find the option.. the only way is recovery menu.. hmm.gif

buy it from the bulk section lor...got one myself from thr.
most likely will be PSP with latest OFW..
sony now supports custom theme....no need to touch flash 0 files (X:/psp/theme/theme.ptf)
CFW? yep...
that would be *.PTF file
*
oops... its .ptf.. blush.gif

So latest firmware can use homebrews?
*
Both phat or slim also can use..

But slim didnt have 1.50 kernal supported.. which mean if the homebrew is specially designed for 1.5.. then u will not able to run it.. hmm.gif

So which PSP and firmware do you recommend to use homebrews?

if u want to fully run all those homebrew.. psp phat will suit u since the slim firmware currently not fully supported homebrew.. unsure.gif

Hi Pip_X,
Initially, I used automatic setting but it can't obtain IP from router (timeout). That's why I configure manual and all went through successfully but can't browse internet.  icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif
*
this i had posted .. maybe we are some problem? are u using any encryption?

is u arenusing 64 bit will cause problem, must use 128 bit.. < this is what i found out last time.. u should spent more time to reading through whole thread wink.gif

However i read some thread they said power safe option must be turn off.. So far i never change this.. unsure.gif

For the browser, if u type yahoo.com < there is some display problem. Basically if u use pc browser, u can see option such as Web | Images | ... bla bla..

But on PSP u see nothing.. but after u click search.. then the option came out.. wonder what wrong with it.. rclxub.gif

Hi Bububang,
Thanks for the reply. In fact, I always use WEB - 128bit key for my other laptop (i have 2 laptops, 1 with b and the other with g). By the way, I've checked on my psp console on the power safe and the default all were off till now. Is there other advice? For the reading the entire thread, can you let me know which page because I'm having quite a low connection here... sweat.gif
*
how can i remember... rclxub.gif

Did u try to close the encryption? Last time when i requesting for IP it sure timeout.. but after change to 128 bit it works fine.. till now also no problem.. hmm.gif

Then the setting was using automatic setting.. nothing else.. nod.gif

Did u had another psp? hmm.gif

If about the encryption u had change but it still the same then i couldnt help anymore.. the only solution i know was this sad.gif

How bout Ad-hoc mode?

Using psp video 9 to convert a mp4-avc at 480x272.
And i put it in MP_ROOT/100ANV01/MAQ20002.MP4

But when trying to play, it show..

"This video cannot be player. The data type is not supported."

I thought on newer version it can support avc codec?

Currently mine is 3.71 m33

Is this PSP 2000 better than the previous one?
I heard that it's a little confusing when it gets to upgrading, downgrading or unbricking. Is that true?
*
because it didnt included 1.50 kernal + more security.. once mess with id storage then it time to say bb to wifi,umd.. that why.. sad.gif

upgraded internal memory , increase loading speed thumbup.gif
upgraded wifi range compare old psp thumbup.gif
slimmer , better design thumbup.gif
1200 mAH battery but same play time compare old psp -> read from some website.. hmm.gif

About my question.. is that mean no one use AVC codec for their psp? shocking.gif

About the kernel and security part, can we add them on later?
*
only know add on kernal currently only supported on phat version..

security they add is id on the flash drive.. when u try to modify it, it will brick the console.

the kernal 1.5 is for run homebrew program .. even the 3.71 can run homebrew.. but there is limitation.. u can ignore this if u didnt plan to use homebrew

Okie, let's make it simple. If I save the files in the PSP in somewhere safe as my backup, even when it's bricked, I am able to unbrick it because I have the backup right? sweat.gif
*
if its a NAND backup.. but if its semi-brick then no need the NAND.. except fully brick nod.gif

Shouldn't the unbricking process consumes one pandora's? I don't get it.

I think, if you are a hardcore gamer and you wanna play many games on the PSP, it's better getting the fat one.
If you love portability such as music and movies on the go, I think it's better to have the slim.
*
if it fully brick mean u mess up the id storage.. it still can unbrick but only can be a mp3/mp4 player(except got NAND backup).

if semi brick then it consume pandora.. two is different case.. nod.gif

and guyz can i know how to backup the psp ? totally backup everything , incase i bricked ....

pmand i tot different game got different loader ?
*
even in 3.60m33 also can run homebrew.. only there is limitation..

software.. this too hard to answer because outside there too many.. but this is known as homebrew...

about the thing.. maybe the psp fat compatibility better..? not sure about this..

i dun really understand wat u're saying .... flash psp's flash0 after flashing that still can copy all the files to desktop  shocking.gif ?
Actually when u finished create the backup.. there is a files created. The files is known as nand-dump.bin. Inside it contain all the files/info stored on the psp.

QUOTE
and i wanna ask why some other ppl make pandora battery need to use soldering to solder the things inside the battery ?
There is 2 step.. 1 is soft.. 1 is hard..

i need step by step on doing pandora battery and mspd got any guides ? thx
U try to search.. last time i found there is 1 side contain pic+guide so its easy and nice tutorial thumbup.gif Moreover i didnt own psp fat.. this psp slim also is my 1st console.. duno how to do pandora and mspd. But i read from somewhere... psp new battery(s110-psp slim battery) cannot use to create as pandora battery. unsure.gif
QUOTE

Added on November 23, 2007, 4:29 pmafter doing some researches from this link http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=81424

i dun understand wat is the real perpouses to make pandora's battery and i doesnt understand these few lines need help here :
Stage 3 you cannot run since you will need a phat psp to copy these required files over. This is what had me stumped for a while. When I tried to boot the psp with the memory stick made with this GUI and the pandora battery it would go green but the memory stick would not be accessed. You will need to get the kd and registry directories from someone who has made a Slim magic memory stick. I asked around and got these and this was what was missing, I am sure if you 'google' or ask nicely someone will send these too you.

and these lines :

These are the necessary .prx .dregs etc.. that need to be accessed on boot up. The GUIs do not create these, I tried a few other GUIs as well none of them did. After I just copied these to the root of my memory stick, I replaced the pandora battery in the slim and WHOLA the memory stick was accessed and the psp shut down after a few seconds. You will not see anything on your screen as the 1.5 kernel does not display on new slim screen. The only way you can tell its working is orange MS access light and green light turning off. Then its safe to replace your battery with a standard one and reboot psp.

Enjoy your home brew. This is my first attempt to describe how to get this working so there may be parts I need to edit to describe better, but it drove me nuts for 8 hours to figure how to get a slim flashed with M33 firmware without a Phat PSP. With the hardware mod battery, it was now possible to flash without a Phat psp with just a few files and programs.
.prx = plugin ->so far what i know
Last time i also read that, there is some GUI program will create pandora easily but some prefer manual because they know what are they doing. But somehow i found there is even 1 more easier.. no need psp fat to create this.. but.. i forgot the link blush.gif
Pandora battery will boot the psp in different state.. its not normal boot.
1.5 kernal = so far i only know this is use to run homebrew program perfectly because most of the program outside there is created for 1.5.
Homebrew = for pc, we called this as application
hardware mod battery = this is what u ask just now, why they open their battery. hardware modded.. mean they didnt use software to create pandora battery
QUOTE

Added on November 23, 2007, 4:30 pmand 1 more question do we really need to remove the battery leg to make pandora battery ?

Added on November 23, 2007, 4:35 pmand wat firmware are u guyz using ? and kernel add on is for wat ?
*

battery = from answer above u should understand now.. there is hard modded and soft modded.. it depend on which method u wan to use

kernal add on.. if u didnt plan to use homebrew program.. u can ignore this.. but this also answered above..

Sorry of my bad english if my explanation still make u hard to understand .. notworthy.gif but i never create a pandora or magic memory.. so far i only know what is that.. but never try.. notworthy.gif
