If order kurang manis got cheaper or not?
If not significantly cheaper, just go for full sweetness. More worth. |

I stopped taking sugar in daily food & drinks for quite some time and noticed a lot of good changes to my body. Nowadays when I walked around seeing F&B stalls, I really noticed our eating habits are very unhealthy. Yes YOLO, but nothing wrong to start new healthier diet & lifestyle. I hope the government can assist the changes. I remember on 2018 the gov't started introducing sugar tax and it was politicized by opposition saying that the action was discriminating against poor people. Nothing wrong with being poor people, but poor and stupid? Better godai. MR_alien and Phoenix_KL liked this post

QUOTE(chinteck79 @ Aug 22 2023, 05:35 PM) when you don't eat sugar or salt, you will notice that eating white rice is sweet.According to Harvard Medical School, a single serving of white rice provides a quick blood sugar spike, which “has almost the same effect as eating pure table sugar.” This is because it has a high glycemic index (GI), which result in a quick spike in insulin and blood sugar. https://www.bodyandsoul.com.au/nutrition/nu...bed241788efd36e This post has been edited by Phoenix_KL: Aug 22 2023, 06:03 PM dogbert_chew liked this post

Excessive sugar/carbs might be the cause for chronic diseases , the last mile of the journey to oblivion, is still the habit of suppering, a distinct Malaysian culture (see mamak stall and food court operating till 1am++). Avoid journey to this last mile by : 1) reduce the need for every nite supper . how? (see 2) 2) layan friends friend invitation selectively . how? (see 3) 3) choose only friends that have good habits to hang out with /supper. how? (see 4) 4) look at what they order when yumchar. in a typical supper /yumchar session, I noticed most customers order more than one drinks since the session might last well over 2 hours++, many stuff to sembang , till cows come home. Now try do that 3 times a week.... every single week. All to please your various circle of friends. Yes. one might argue choice of 3 daily main meals also important... but they're easily to control since one might be eating alone/with family.. no peer pressure to follow (bad) habits of friends during supper. Don't forget, the more one supper... the less one able to sleep early. lack of good quality sleep also cause of diseases. Eating late is not good either. If you get educated about diabetes (like this thread OP), practice the good habits as often and early as you can. You should plan to outlive your parents in terms of lifespan and plan to be as healthy as possible heading into your old age.

All start from young also.
Cainis kid bring water bottle to school. Malay? Bukan takde macam jarang nampak. Biasa pergi kantin or beli from gerai kat luar sekolah. Until adult also you biasa see them only drink their ikat tepi drinks from morning. Then lunch beli lagi ikat tepi drinks. This post has been edited by United Rulez: Aug 25 2023, 04:54 PM |

QUOTE(MADReaLJL @ Aug 22 2023, 04:50 PM) I stopped taking sugar in daily food & drinks for quite some time and noticed a lot of good changes to my body. Should also follow sillypore force all the supermarket can and paper packaging to label sugar level.. So the ppl make informed decision. |

QUOTE(premier239 @ Aug 25 2023, 05:15 PM) Correct....no amount of scary shit can scare people. People can only convince themselves what is good for themselves. Frequently, it's the advertisement, the social media influencer that get the better of us. Smokers and sugar addiction or just about any addiction...the person is already convinced that they need that particular input and it feels good. |

PETALING JAYA: It's World Diabetes Day and here's the bitter truth - the disease has become more common in Malaysia, with its prevalence increasing by seven percentage points over the past decade.
We are also the country with the highest rate of cases in South-East Asia. About 19% of our population was diabetic in 2021 - an increase from 12.1% in 2011. That means about one in every five Malaysians is diabetic. This 6.9 percentage point jump was also the largest spike among the 10 countries in Asean, according to figures from the World Bank. https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2023...mes-more-common |

It's not fake condensed milk. It's sweetened creamer. At one point, global milk price jump too high, so manufacturer began producing sweetened creamer as alternative. And it is actually very bad for health. |

QUOTE(V3i HoN6 @ Nov 14 2023, 04:14 PM) the point is sugar / sweet is very very addicting, more so than drugs and ciggrattes/ Sure, but if one cuts to 0, can it reverse diabetus?trust me it is very hard to go cold turkey on sugar, you can cut out all the sweet drinks but your daily meals will still contains alot alot of sugars. |

QUOTE(Starbucki @ Nov 14 2023, 04:39 PM) Again you do not understand by looking at your question. What cuts to 0? how do you manage to cut to zero if you do not go carnivore diet. I does saw a lot of testimony on keto & intermittent fasting group, that people able to reverse type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. But it's all mostly well informed/ research and strong will people who are focus. They right out change their lifestyle totally and be super health conscience. |

I'm more likely doubting your comprehensive abilities. |

QUOTE(Starbucki @ Nov 14 2023, 06:48 PM) yes brother..high above 10mmol..if ur sugar is high due to lifestyle or ur body is fat, then can reverse. but if ur lifestyle is perfect, means u got enough sleep every night, u jaga ur food, and u are slim type. means nothing can be done anymore.most people got diabetic due to worse lifestyle and fat. if can altered this, can reverse. if nothing can be altered, means it is too bad. just live with diabetic and take medication |
