QUOTE(Dark Butterfly @ Aug 17 2023, 08:10 AM) By sharing such story and looking at his behaviour nowadays, shows that Sg is really in big trouble and it will be tough for them in this incoming years....and even more after the Thai canal has been completed Thai canal has been in discussion for centuries. It won't happen for sure. If you look at the 2 canals (Suez and panama), it shortens the route by thousands of KM and time by at least days.Let them enjoy their short golden age era for now The cost to built that thing vs the benefit that you gain is just too minimal. that also havent include the separatist movement on southern thai. |

Will Thailand willingly cut its country into 2 for an uneconomical project or to satisfy China?? |

To add-on, China also done enough assessment to decide to invest ECRL in Malaysia, as a backup in case ada sanction. So if Thai going to build that canal, why bother to even do ECRLThe cost to built that thing vs the benefit that you gain is just too minimal. that also havent include the separatist movement on southern thai. |

QUOTE(yhtan @ Aug 17 2023, 10:20 AM) Even back in 90s their leader has set up a mechanism which has 2 person to unlock the reserve, one is PM and another one is president. But in Malaysia the PM and MOF has absolute power to dictate Khazanah fate. isn’t this already a well known infoUntil now the Singapore did not disclose how much reserve they have, scare kena speculator attack. they have around 400b USD according to ChatGPT circa Sep 2021 |

dont to speculate its the fact SG have more than US$1 Trillion in Cash and asset.
how can the world 3rd or 4th largest financial centre doesnt have more than US$1 Trillion, a joke rite? Those money shielded SG Economy from Crisis and the pandemic. Can even lend indonesia money in the Asian Economic Crisis and aid the region financially if they ask. This documentary really goes to show how powerful and well managed she is. Confident booster for the local and FDI. |

Its a good vid. Solves a big mystery for me.
Always wondered why land sales not counted in sinkie government revenue. Future sinkie PM explain this is captured as reserve. he say reserve is used to fund land reclamation (not captured as budget expense). Hence, land sales isn't captured as revenue. What not stated is difference between cost of cheap sand for reclamation vs high revenue from land sales (RM58 Billion for FY 2023). Just for illustration, Sinkie land sale revenue is almost as big as Bolehland's development budget. Just another reason why sinkie reserves every year grow. |
