Thai canal has been in discussion for centuries. It won't happen for sure. If you look at the 2 canals (Suez and panama), it shortens the route by thousands of KM and time by at least days.Let them enjoy their short golden age era for now
The cost to built that thing vs the benefit that you gain is just too minimal. that also havent include the separatist movement on southern thai.
