read up tire cold tears laugh.gif

for stickier tire compounds, you're still getting similar wears on cold as hot, just that they are being pointlessly wasted when not bringing up to temperature fulfilling their intended use and potential.

Thanks. Learned new term. I'm not getting that, guess due to not pushing usage on the street.

From what you shared, I can't explain the current wear pattern. Hard to believe the molding marks are still there after 1500km, expect those to be gone in 200km. Lol

Unless I gotta attribute that to less slippage due to higher grip.
Like Porshe claims 992 GT3 RS has whopping 30% slower wear than 992 GT3 due to significant less tyre slip given high downforce.

If this is true, meaning the OEM selected tyre category has insufficent grip to handle the car torque and weight. To a point all fat heavy super saloon, SUV, and EV should use high grip tyres.

I wouldn't pay attention to the marks. Less slippage aside, stiffer tires resulting less flex and less outer wear is also a contributing factor.

And OEM selected tires?
Consider cost and priorities to the majority of owners.

Even super cars Sport cars, do you think most owners even able to even utilise any where remotely close to the car potential?

I'll just leave you with this - willing to spend 35k on Brembo upgrades, drive Porsche badge.
But the only thing contacting the ground and vehicle... Lol

Hang on... that familiar beacon light on the top left corner, is that a Civic?

Anyway, not that my main intention is to look at the marks, sooner or later they will be gone even with lower than expected wear. Itchy hands thinking of a potential project. Lol

My car has it.
718 Cayman has it.
