Especially whoever run SC6, PSS, PS4S, Potenza S007A, Potenza Sport, Eagle F1 SuperSport, P Zero Corsa etc, the experience should be closer, but those more hardcore are welcome too.
I have installed Continental SC7 about 2 months ago, and clocked 1500km.
I'm puzzled by how little is the wear, especially both rear tyres shown barely use.
Even the air release hole mark of the mold is still on the thread.
1500km is supposedly 7.5% of tread life, if I use 20,000km as my benchmark.
- consider my last tyre Continental PC6 only lasted 20,000km (tread can push for 30,000km but I switch early due to uneven outer wear, and rubber stiffen).
- consider SC7 is on even softer compound than PC6.
On the usage
- I did mostly short 10-20km trip, I guess as soon as it fully warm up the trip end.
- For the record the grip already exceeded PC6 within 1-2 corners, no need warm up for daily drive.
- Car has eAWD. Short trip EV mode is RWD. Long distance hybrid mode is front bias AWD.
If this trend continue, I think SC7 will outlast PC6 by large margin. My itchy hands might swap to new PSS5 when it releases before current set done deal.
Good thing is I'll have 2 set of rim when my 7.5kg 19" arrives next year. What a long lead time.
Rear - the release hole mark still like new, like barely used.

Front - very light release hole mark, almost gone.
