I'm not expert but most of the reading I've done, it is said stainless steel is safer than plastic.. but most people still use plastic and that I know of, are still well.. so I still use plastic also, BPA free ones only.

QUOTE(loki @ Aug 2 2023, 11:57 AM) they only discovered the dangers of bpa in 2008, who knows maybe they contain harmful epa, apa, sapa which researchers have not discovered yet? Maybe.. QUOTE(a_dot_el @ Aug 2 2023, 11:48 AM) Stainless steel is definitely safer than plastic in any temperature condition. Even those plastic without BPA, which are now being replaced with BPS / BPF, those 2 compounds still have many similarities with BPA. Apart from that, the characteristic of plastic doesn't change, meaning it will continue to leach some plastic into the water at warmer temperature. Be aware that there are some stainless steel container that are actually aluminum, and those have plastic coating on the inside. So pouring warm/hot water inside will results in leaching of plastic content into the water. So if I were to buy one, I have to check the spec, to ensure it is 100% stainless? Do they mention "non-aluminium"?
