I tried ur tips, but became more lag

offline game lag bcoz of memory,bug and etc, while online games lag mostly bcoz of bandwidth

update ur windows live and uninstall any 3rd party driver/software for ur gc such as atitool,omega driver, just use the normal one..that will do

this games doesnt work well with ATItool,rivatuner,omega, even I oc my gc with one of those, my GOW became more lag and crashed eventually

hmm..i tried that , yes I can continue my games but it will become more lag..

maybe bcoz of my poor rig

do u using any third party software such as omega driver ,rivatuner, ATItool? if yes, uninstall them, just leave it with the main driver

or ..

if u havent install the xlive update yet, u have to do so..

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Gears of War\support and click at XLiveRedist1.1.0322

or

just search the XLiveRedist1.1.0322 file at C:


I've done all the above tips and my GOW never crash anymore, just a bit weird lag

sell ur mobo,ram,gc,proc..u might get around RM500 or higher if u lucky.. then u buy am2 4000+ , 2gb ddr667 ram, mobo around 200 , and 2nd pcie gc..u probably need to topup a lil bit ..

this is what I actually did a month ago , and quite satisfy now, enjoying GOW,everyday GOWing , set everything to max with reso 1280x1024 ( my 17" lcd limit ) ,with around 25-30 fps, but still got some weird lag, well it just the buggy

that means u already installed it , if that case, just try what cyrus2k said, ignore the crash, dont click neither send report @ do not send ,

as for me, it failed , the game become more lag if I ignore the crash, and the games will suddenly dissappear and go back to windows after further 2-3 crash, so good luck to u

oh maybe rivatuner is not in the list , I tried omega and ATitool the games crashed, so made my conclusion that all 3rd party driver/oc tool including rivatuner will cause error to the game eventhough havent tried it yet , well if u said rivatuner is ok i'll give it a try then ..

mine? am2 4000+ , corsair 2gb ddr667, x1950pro, biostar ta690g ..

ur rig planning is good, but I suggest u to get a good mobo , like mine is consider good for light overclock, got ati x1250 onboard graphic for backup graphic accelerator

and forget about 1024x768 reso, with ur new incoming rig, u can go much higher than that

I knew about that about 2 days ago, tried it but found my games become more lag, have u tried it?

I can quit and continue my games from my last checkpoint.. last time I also face the same problem as u bcoz I reinstall my games (bcoz of crash frequently) but not install WindowsInstaller-KB893803-x86..

and btw I bought my GOW also from jack sparrow

I connect to internet still can continue my last checkpoint, it's not about internet watsoever, but either WindowsInstaller-KB893803-x86 or Wargame-G4WLive.exe..

bcoz I tried to uninstall and reinstall back the games but didnt install WindowsInstaller-KB893803-x86, as the result I can't continue my last checkpoint..

while got a forumer said he tried to delete Wargame-G4WLive.exe from C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Gears of War\Binaries with hoping it'll fix the crash, it does, but also cannot continue his last games..

so..u choose

there is, when the 1st time he pop out, u can see a door on his left, just get the door with any skill u have, and then u can go further till u reach outside..and that is the time u should use the hammer
