Hi,

I am looking for the cheapest plan to keep my number alive, it's actually my primary number but I don't really use data since I had other SIM to provide data like YTL and UMobile already.

I am looking for eSIM to keep my number on my primary phone through eSIM so I could run my data plan on my secondary SIM (I am using iphone 12 that's why need one esim one physical SIM)

So far I believe Yoodo is the cheapest?

Just 5 bucks per month for the call plans? I don't usually call maybe once per month or even less.

But I need it when I need it such as emergency family call or something.

Any other option aside from that?

Thanks a lot for any input.

cheapest esim for 1 year is tunetalk, rm38. https://www.tunetalk.com/prepaid/services/one-year-validity/

cheapest non-esim for 1 year is hotlink prepaid pantas, rm30. https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/faq/products/...-pantas/passes/

How much does the 365 days Active Period pass cost and how does it work?
The 365 days Active Period pass is priced at RM30 and can be purchase from your Hotlink app. By activating this pass, your account/ SIM will be active for 365 days (1 year) from the day of activation/ purchase. This means you do not have to constantly top up to keep your account/ SIM active.

but, Maxis eSIM is not available for Hotlink Prepaid yet.

My primary number use Digi(esim), have it extended 1 year validity rm38 through BoS offer. Topup another rm5 for calls/sms for emergencies. RM 0.20 per minute of call, RM 0.10 for SMS. Even for calls, usually only call wife through Facetime Audio. Others just use whatsapp call.

Data sim use Yes, subscribe 20GB for data addon for RM15 per month. Them claim Yes databack from Shopee for additional data.

WFH using Wifi, so no problem for data during weekdays. If travel to places without Yes coverage, then switch to Digi (have free basic data 500mb every month).

For primary esim, better to stick with Apple network partner (Maxis, Celcom, Digi, Umobile) for less hassle. Within these network, only Digi and Umobile offer esim for prepaid.

Agreed on this.

However, Hotlink Postpaid 40/60 does offer esim.

Well, it’s postpaid but with no contract though.

My iphone xs max dual sim config:

Celcom blue 5+5gb Rm45- physical sim
Hotlink postpaid 40 Rm40 - esim

But thinking to switch from Celcom Blue to Yoodo RM20 for cheaper alternatives.

Waiting for Maxis to release Hotlink Prepaid esim in the future hmm.gif
