berlin is not a place to celebrate octoberfest. you have to go munich but some restaurant/pubs outside munich will host the octoberfest too.
also the octobefest is normally from mid september to 1st week of october

i was in hamburg last year september and coincidentally 1 of the munich gastropub hosted octoberfest but nothing major

berlin is quite nice if you into historical stuff. enjoy big portion food with cheap beers
