I give paint shop this color code OW 1087 P (Nippon Paint) but they said it can be mixed and matched. Any idea why need to mix only can get the color I want?
Is it because not in their color chart https://www.nipponpaint.com.my/assets/np-co...-collection.pdf ?

all paints really have to use their machine to mix & match and come out with your color code accordingly.. there is no ready color code paint available in each shop.. but they have their machine to come out the code u want

Ok, but it won't guarantee 100% accurate, right? Different shop will use different machine to mix and match and come out my color code. What if they use cheaper brand of machine? I was wondering how it may differ from my expectation.

i cant confirm whether it isnt 100%.. but it is almost identical.. just after paint on your wall + lighting effect, color looks a bit different.. cause browser/catalogue show dark black, might turn outemaybe a bit dark green/dark blue.. too many factors.. some do have white color wall as base, some have otthhr color on wall as base.. paint on it might create different color too..

machine wise should be provided by paint manufacturer if they are authorised dealer for the paint.. like earlier member shared, nippon color slightly off in my opinion as well, but jotun is quite identical.. but go home and back on it, slightly different feel again.. hahaha
