Guys pls be prepare for at least a season of boring football, we going to make all our weaker opponent park the bus while we cycle the ball around the box without any idea to breakthrough for the sake of keeping the ball then either we get a narrow win or draw or we concede thru a counter attack or set pieces. We have seen some of this football under TT.

But i do think possession football is still best chance to win the league, coz this play style means they are used to playing team with low block and they know how to break them. Compare to direct football, they rely on fast transition and space for their attack but will have problem when they face lowly team that only wanted to get a draw for the game and not willing to send player forward to attack. Beating these team means more point to win the league. But when it come to knockout competition, there is no draw, team will have to score to win, i favor direct football here more.

Playing possession football is not easy, u need specific type of player, like defender that can pass well, midfielder that does not lose the ball to pressure (like KOVA in MANC and JORG in ARS, they are not great at creating but sought after due to their ability to keep the ball), striker with good movement in the box surround by defender. These are only the basic, to win, the player have to be good in create chances and well drilled to beat the low block team.

Looking at our player, i think it gonna take times, our fullback are high octane type (GUSTO, REECE, CHILWELL) bursting to byline and put in crosses, these will be limited coz versus low block team is just basically cross and pray and giving the ball back to opponent easily is not possession football. Most of our midfielder is the combative type that win ball possession, rather than the creative one. Winger, we will need player that able to beat his men like MADUEKE, STERLING rather than MUDRYK that rely on speed and space. Striker, JACKSON and NKUNKU can do link up, not so bad.

guess possession football will indirectly help REECE, since he will be doing less bursting run needed.

dont think so, news is ENZO went surgery rather than drop, more likely is POCH want keep GALLAGHER but club want sell and request for experience reinforcement also rejected.

Agree, i believe that is the likely outcome.

Being the last year of contract, decision is for GALLAGHER to make not the club anymore, either he get a new contract that he deserve or he leave for free and get a big sign on fee at new club.
