Is that a good choice?
Where is there hotel? near Mongkok MTR? there used to be this Grand hotel, but was demolished and rebuilt as some other hotel.. jsut downstairs teh hotel is the MTR.. within this area is the HK famous lady's streets.. plenty of local street shopping... (watch out for midnight, after 12, many illegal hawkers will be there too because the local police won't be around, you can get cheaper price items as I was told).I'm going on a free and easy trip to HK on the Dec 13th with my family and relatives..

The other being Temple street which is futher away (need to take MTR).. but I find things there costing a little more.. Further down ~20 min walk from Mongkok station, ask around where is flower street, you can get things at cheaper price.... where locals like to go...
