Esprit and G2000 Outlets sell men's wear at lower prices even when compared to Msia's.
bought a lot of work clothes from G2000, and their design and cutting is slightly different from Msia's.
better, in that sense.

I'm new here, but I'm not sure whether I can put my blog's URL here for reference.
I'm currently in the midst of blogging about my 9D/8N HK/Macau trip last month.

I stayed at Dragon Hostel in Mong Kok, a rather affordable backpacker's place, clean and
right in the middle of Mong Kok's buzzing streets.

G2000 outlets at the western end of Argyle Street in Mong Kok, a corner shoplot.

Esprit outlets we went to two, one in Tsim Sha Tsui, near The Peninsula I think.

the other one in Mongkok's Fa Yuen Street I think. its at LG floor of a complex.

for G2000, the varieties kept updated almost every other day. we went on 3 diff occasions and saw
diff designs on display.
for Esprit, both outlets sell more or less the same stuff on diff days.

hope that helps. heard that Tung Chung's CITYGATE has various outlets. next to MTR Tung Chung.

Hi there. there are so many places to visit, depending on what your main aim is,
whether for the FOOD, for shopping, or sight-seeing.

we spent 9 days in HK/Macau last year, and still,
rather rushed on some days.

we went to Esprit Outlet and G2000 Outlet that sell past-season clothings (which in comparison, is WAY more options and better designs than what we have here) for most of the shopping.

for a possible one-stop Outlet shopping, go to Tung Chung's (i think) citygate mall or something for some serious shopping.
beside Tung Chung MTR station only.

throughout our journey there, we went to one G2000 outlet at the end of Argyll Street (a corner lot, at a very busy traffic lights).
and as for Esprit Outlet, we went to one in Mongkok, and another in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Hi,

Would like to ask, upon reaching Macau Ferry Terminal, how do we get to Largo do Senado and The Venetian using public transport? And is it expensive to use taxi to those places?

Thank you.

we took the bus number 3 or 3A to town, (about MOP$2.50) stopping on the main road leading to the Square. (Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro/Sun Ma Lou)

the taxi service also shouldnt be too pricey, as on the last day we took the taxi to airport, at MOP$70 per car.

yeah, we were thinking of going the extra mile and off the beaten tracks,
with visits to cheung chau, and the fishermen villages.
but to no avail, time was rather tight.
maybe in the next trip?

and this time I swear to go during the cooler season!!!
Sept was DAMN DAMN hot last year. but thankfully we avoided the typhoon/heavy rains.

Hi, I found this website more useful(to the traveller) than the official HK tourism web(official web is more towards promoting/advertising):
http://www.hongkongextras.com/index.html

My previous trip, I did go to Cheung Chau.  A bit late at 3pm and my parents are tired liao.  Also, rain a bit shortly after we reached there.  So, only see the Pak Tai temple, walk along the beach and around the town area.  There are many seafood restaurants there, live seafood, price looks reasonable but we didn't eat there.

I reckon if go in the morning, energetic and adventurous, can follow the walking trail and explore Cheung Chau.  Do take note that the ferry fare is more expensive on weekends.  If you are generous with your time, take the "ordinary" ferry will do(which I did), no need to take the "express" service.  You can find the ferry schedule and fare from New Ferry web.

Btw, have you visited the Ten Thousand Buddhas' Temple (Man Fatt Tze) previously?  I would recommend this temple.

Do check on the link above, lots of idea, esp those off the beaten tracks.  I did the "scenic bus ride" to Stanley.  And I visited Tai O fishing village on Lantau Island, that's after Big Buddha and Wisdom Path.

Hiya, I read your blog while preparing for my trip.  I went 6 months after your trip, in March, on first day of second month (Chinese calender) - nice cool weather.  That's according to the Chinese Calender, a few days after the "Spring starts" day.  I'm now starting to believe in those special days (those "seasons") reflected in Chinese calender, quite accurate to predict weather, esp if pertaining to the Northern China..

yeah Ami, i remember you. smile.gif
thats why now go anywhere also gotta check the weather forecast 1st, to avoid heavy rains, typhoon,
or ultra hot and dry weather.

though highly doubtful high/peak season tickets will be that cheap from Air Asia.
