Dear all,

Would like to get your advise whether OK to buy a unit beside break tank. The concern is noise.

I saw the booking system, all units underneath break tank is not taken. SA ask to consider unit diagonally above the break tank:

It depends on the sound proofing, but why risk it ?

Is it cheaper ?

price not cheaper.

initially wanted a floor somewhat higher so that it's not blocked by another high rise beside, and there's somewhat of a view.

now after thinking, better reselect unit and eliminate the risk.

If price not cheaper, i really cant see any reason to go for it. Maybe you can explain why you want to go for it even when the price is same?

Initial consideration was above floor 20 but below 30, to avoid being blocked by next door high rise and also don't want to stay too high up cause of lift waiting times etc. The SA informed if like that only left units near the pump room.

Based on everyone's helpful input, this noise risk and concern now overrides all my initial considerations.

I'd suggest you go for higher floors instead of risk that. Won't be too much of waiting for the lift if a difference of a few floors, lifts these days are fast, and you don't tend to have too many residents congregrating at the same lift at the same time. In the mornings if there's some congestion during peak hours, can consider walking down the stairs to get to the pump floor so the difference in wating time for the lift would be the same (staying higher vs staying next to the pump)

Beside pump better don't buy. The noise will kill you at night. Haha.
Don't force yourself buy something that your gut feeling not comfortable with.
Not cheap the property, buy with willing heart.
SA will just want to sell, not they stay there too. Haha rclxs0.gif
