Looking at the trailer I think it's appropriate for the fund they get. Proper set and staging, not bad camera works, etc. The trailer editing quality a little bit at the lower side. But it fit the budget that they had. Making movie is expensive. You need more that 5 mil nowadays to make a proper movie. Otherwise, you have to cut a lot of corners.

Sure ke modal 1 million? Seems drama quality...maybe want to songlap the funds...

There is a way to game the system.not saying that anyone is doing it ... But... I can think of this.. open sohai business renting or selling movie props..get the movie to exclusively use props from that company only . Say one baju sohai sohai also rm3k rental per day. Then charge into cost of production.

Later claim reimbursement ...baju special deswai 3k per day. But buy from taobao only 30 ringgit. Topkek

Or another way is, rope in sohem friends who can't act for shit, pay them like A list celebrity fee. Then drag out the production as long as possible but everyday turn up to set play game together.... so that u can Show time sheet etc...
Pay them their A list actor fees, and ask them pay u back 50%. If any investigation happen, just show them see Abu hensem came to set everyday so rajin if I don't pay him so much nobody wanna do this job.

If not mistaken, last time also ada news. The funding was dished out 100% right from the start, not progressive. Many did not even have a movie to show at the end.

No kenot. Production grants quite strict one. They need to see original receipts and for crews they want to see bank statements. No receipts no reimbursements. Also grant only support around 50 percent of production costs.

SPRM should investigate Finas, clearly there are abuse of funding already that might favor the connection for easy money
