I am planning to widen my gate from 12 ft to 18 ft. As such , the pillar of gate has to be relocated, together with its TNB meter. What is the estimated cost for TNB contractor for 6 ft relocation.
I am quoted 4k including TNB application. Is this expensive? Note that this is wiring until meter only.
From meter until original wire point back to db box is different cost.

Last week my holiday house in PD, TNB contractor came knock on the door, said need to shift the meter, for ease of meter reading (ie. from wall facing left to wall facing front).

While he's doing his work, my mom sengaja tanya how much they bill TNB.

He said normal rate is RM600, but for TNB only RM500 (phase 3 meter).

You think of cost laying short wire from old point to new point only but you didn't think of how many trips to TNB of and how many times need to follow up with your application. I can't said expensive or cheap but there is more work behind the scene work than the work done at your house only and the behind the scene total work hour is more than the hour of work done is your house. Your house work might only be 4-6 hour job but the job to follow up plus trips to tnb is more than the work at your house
