QUOTE(beck_ken @ Dec 6 2007, 05:52 PM) Rumours are Sam will have until after Christmas to get the club back on track (result wise) since during that period, they will have 4 games which they are capable of winning it (will they actually win it is another matter):8 Dec vs BIR 15 Dec @ FUL 23 Dec vs DER 26 Dec @ WIG The draw against Arsenal yesterday is a good start I guess This post has been edited by alien2003: Dec 6 2007, 05:58 PM |

Who better than Big Sam? Cappello? He's the only one whoring himself around to clubs but apart from him, who better? Stick with Big Sam. They have already stuck with him through the bad spell and the Arsenal draw could be the turn around he needs.
Gareth Southgate is in bigger shit if you ask me. |

The thing about Gareth Southgate is he has the board and players backing...they are willing to give him as much time as he wants....Remember that its the M`Boro players who begged him to take charge after McLaren left...

Yeah, Gareth Southgate's job hasn't been on the line since his take over as manager. He's not up to standard for EPL if you ask me.

QUOTE(ImanAzlan @ Dec 7 2007, 12:43 PM) Remember Reading last season? Their budget lesser than Boro yet they are above them. Even when Boro got $$$ to spend on Juninho, Ravanelli, Emerson etc., they still got themselves relegated didn't they? |

Gareth or Sam might be the next casualty.
Gareth because he lacks the EPL quality to become manager. Heck, even most people disagree for him to become manager. But chances are he's not. The board is seriously backing him. Sam on the other hand has higher chances of being sacked. Hired by Newcastle because of his performance at Bolton, they expect him to make Newcastle perform the way Sir Bobby Robson did (i think lah, but I think SBR is class). Now with increasing pressure, he MIGHT just get the boot, but if he wins or draws consecutively, so he MIGHt not just get the boot. Kesian Sam btw, the defence sucks balls and yet he's being targetted. XD |

QUOTE Sanchez leaves Fulham with 'immediate effect' http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=492636&cc=4716Fulham have parted company with manager Lawrie Sanchez with immediate effect, the club announced today. Click here The club posted a short statement on their website this morning confirming their decision to replace the former Northern Ireland boss. The statement said: 'Fulham Football Club today announced its decision to replace Lawrie Sanchez as manager of Fulham Football Club with immediate effect. 'Ray Lewington and Billy McKinlay will be in charge of the team whilst a search for a permanent replacement takes place.' The club have attributed their decision to their current poor run of form. The Cottagers are currently 18th in the Barclays Premier League with 13 points from 17 games. The statement added: 'Following a run of disappointing results the club is languishing in the relegation zone of the Premier League table, and losing its Premiership status is a proposition that simply can not be contemplated at this stage in the club's on-going development. 'The club is confident that it will find the right replacement to increase its chances of remaining in the Premiership, which is of vital importance. 'The club would like to thank Lawrie for helping the Club through a difficult period at the end of last season, and thank him for his service over the last eight months.' Sanchez was appointed on a caretaker basis after the departure of Chris Coleman last season and given the job full-time in May. The latest development is sure to fuel rumours linking the club with former player John Collins, who resigned as manager of Hibernian yesterday. More to follow... |
