QUOTE(insan_kamil @ Jul 7 2023, 04:28 PM) I just received mine as well. Current usage fluctuates between 4.5-6k a month. Tnb earned massive and record profits last year. They are doing very well. Why the hell the need for an increase? That profit they earned is ours. They should slash their profit to maintain tariff rate. What a silly move iinm TNB profit 1 billion, but govt subsidies is easily 5-6 billions. Meaning without subsidies, TNB would be making billions of losses if charged at current rate.

QUOTE(Avangelice @ Jul 10 2023, 10:03 AM) Remove subsidies. Let the market feel it & they will regulate themselves. Profit. But Malaysians sure love their subsidies Don't know lah, without the huge tongkat, would probably get another huge wave of inflation. This couple with MYR massive devaluation.... Feels like everyone actually leeching from Petronas including the govt. When Petronas gg whole country gg...

QUOTE(loserguy @ Jul 10 2023, 10:05 AM) no la it means TNB will profit 1b with or without the subsidies. without subsidies, govt saves 5-6b consumers pay extra 5-6b nothing changes for tnb edit: I get what you mean, but tnb will just charge full rate without the subsidies. Without that 5-6b subsidy, it will bring a huge wave of inflation that is way more than 5-6bil. This post has been edited by iGamer: Jul 10 2023, 10:09 AM

QUOTE(ibnwara @ Jul 10 2023, 10:30 AM) I attached my bill from apps. Just change my TNB Meter last 2021. New meter from TNB it self. Should be no issue with the meter. Notice that I just move in back in March thus the bill is rm3. Before that I live at rent house. With usual Bill around rm20. Cuz fully furnished with non 5 star appliances. Can share what is the appliances you used? Fridge size, shower heater etc... What are the most power hungry appliances in your home?

QUOTE(ibnwara @ Jul 10 2023, 02:11 PM) Not much to be honest. only several appliances that runs 24/7 1. Fridge (Sharp size around 400L) 2. Water Pump (200W) 3. Wifi don`t have any Cu/Co Water filter, don`t have water heaters, don`t have air-cond. Sounds like you don't use much electrical appliances. Don't use shower heater, no air fryer, no oven, no PC with power hungry graphic card
