broken ribs during CPR is quite common, especially among older people where their bone more fragile.
but better broken ribs than dead.

FYI, there r law that protects CPR giver that even cause injury, cant sue the CPR giver.
but, u no CPR certificate, & doing it wrong like the video, they van argued that u're causing harm more than helping, hence can sue u.

source: i'm CPR certified. need to renew every 3 years.

If can sue the cpr giver, might as well people won't risk the trouble to perform cpr for people in need.
Everyone just stand there call 999, and do nothing.

Latest CPR already no need do rescue breath, just do 30 compressions and check pulse, then repeat until detect pulse.

u can absolutely sue.
ie like shown in the video.
if u dunno what u're doing, dun hog the spotlight & be a hero.
help go look for people who knows CPR better.

We are on a slippery slope here.
In the future, no one will lend a hand to help, for fear of potential legal liability.

better than administer poor cpr and deny the victim of having proper cpr
if you don't know how to do proper cpr, then better find someone who know even if it takes 5 minutes
a delayed proper cpr within 5 minutes is better than an immediate bad cpr that prolonged for 30 minutes
first do no harm. so if know nothing, do nothing

Even if I know proper CPR, even with 100% correct technique given, I will also worry if the casualty not survived or brain dead, then will kena legal consequences, criminal or civil.

So better do nothing, and become like China where people will just stand there and watch.

So you know CPR but won't use your skill to help people when needed.
Where is kindness and moral?

But again, no kindness and no moral is not illegal.
