Subscribed to uhome $68. Using an old 4g mifi and the speed is so so. Looking to buy a 5g router but waiting for sales.

The umobile person did mention will have the 5g routers available but no date given.

Staying too high signal also no good, the direction of the 5G antenna may not towards to the sky and signal will be weak when staying at high level.

But got 1000GB/month FUP. Unless not heavy downloads.
Wise still got choice to take.

Quite good the 4G speed and stable too.

So this problem persist in the newer 888 as well? I'm using 801 with celcom. I did find it strange having to restart few times every week but found a solution simply by disabling the wifi and connecting it to my tplink ax50 for wifi. Solid ever since.

There has been quite some reported cases of FT5G users' internet being blocked by Yes as their usage was too high, breaking the fair usage policy and a result of using ahem router.

In so to speak, YES can detect high usage from modded modem and block you.

Ya, i tested yesterday when i set connection to only 5G and lock band to N77/N78 only and it won't connect. I have to to choose 5G/4G/3G option and lock band to B28/N77/N78 only then i can connect for internet.
Hence it's still using NSA and not SA. What a bummer.. Btw the moment it starts to rain even if its a light shower Ultra5G in my area would revert to normal 5G.
