Bro, I know its an old post, but could you please share the link to the ptm7950 you purchased from Taobao. Really appreciate it, thanks.

You could also try Shopee (I got mine from this seller)
Costs more than Taobao but easier to use and pay with (especially if you have coins to burn).
Shipping was also quite fast for me.

Performance-wise I think cleaning out laptop fans now and then make a big difference also.

My CPU (i5-9300H in a Lenovo Y540) before cleaning/repasting with PTM 7950:

Bet your laptop runs silent after you clean all that dust laugh.gif

Yes, it runs much quieter now. In fact my big reductions in CPU and GPU temperatures I feel is more to cleaning out the struggling fans than the actual PTM7950.
Pasting the PTM7950, I tried the freezer method which made it easier to peel off and paste.
But end of the day my go to method to reduce wastage was to use the torn mangled bits and just tampal only.
I then just boot up my laptop for a bit to let it 'melt' into an even layer. Then just open back and readjust the paste.
