1) do outside mechanics know how to do tyre alignment or install Ah Beng accessories?
2) does it have regular "fuse board" where we can tap 12V power for say, dash cams?
3) insurance premium - for your brand new car, what is the comparable new ICE vehicle in terms of premium paid? Is there any loading for EV since batteries are vulnerable in a serious accident as you mentioned?
4) does the car drive like a regular ICE car? Would you be comfortable lending it to someone who has never driven an EV, or handing over to the tyre shop mechanic for alignment test drive?

QUOTE(bashlyner @ Jun 19 2023, 11:25 AM) Kasi like for a quality thread. Look like EV is setup to be a viable second car for day to day drive within the city, provided the house can install the charging port. Would love to see the feedback after 2-3 years I think that's the time we really know if EV can really be the future in Malaysia. Chicken and egg situation. TS pun mentioned currently EV charging bays aren't that packed because EVs are still rare. Infrastructure providers may wait for more demand before investing, would-be users pulak wait for more charging infrastructure before buying EVs. So it's only a viable option for those with spare cars for outstation trips.

If calculated in comparison to rm2.05 ron95 fuel, this is equivalent to 6 liters/100km or 16.6 KM/L.
If install solar roof panels, lagi worth it.
However , an equivalent Jepunis car can get 10-15km/L without all the hassle of range anxiety and cost of installing 3 phase electrical wiring and wallbox. That's why EV for now remains out of the mind of many people.

QUOTE(Chinoz @ Jul 12 2023, 09:00 AM) 24deg AC - isn’t that sort of like blowing lukewarm air? It's time to send your car for Aircon servicing.

The accelerator play and acceleration feeling, does it differ much from normal ICE cars? As in, does it give driving a bumper car type of feeling?
I've never tested an EV so far.
