Actually both would be not much different. On paper only is different. I am using MR70X AX1800 router and ASUS OEM PCIE AX200 because i want to try the tech on budget. I have tried AC600 & AC1300 USB adapters also no different. Range & speed is same. Probably because same AX1800 router. alfiejr liked this post

Newer router focus on 5ghz for speed but 5ghz is crap for coverage if you had the router in one corner of the house.
Best if you could place the wifi router in the center of your house. |

2 antenna(ax1800) vs 4 antenna(ac2600)
do you have 4 antenna network adapter? if dont have then ax1800 is better even if you have 4 antenna also i believe ax is better, one connection that you make is equal to one stream and ax is just more efficient per stream. also why bother with ax1800, when you can have affordable ax3000 already? router with 4 antenna setup are just bulkier and consume more power to operate. My answer would be the model that has better support for open source firmware, because most router manufacturers are useless when it comes to long-term security updates.
